In the meantime, I thought you might like to see my summer fleece – at present it is growing on these beautiful Jacobs Sheep kept by my boss, Paul, who very kindly sent me these photographs.

For the last two seasons, Paul and I have shared the cost of shearing his sheep. He gets, nine nicely clipped sheep and I get any number of sheep fleeces, 9 being the maximum. Paul very kindly gets rid of any fleece that has been infected with flies etc and then they are bagged up and put into my garage.
I have yet to learn what to do with it all, however, hopefully after a couple of postponements, I will be learning to spin on the 1st March 2008, I really can’t wait.
The colours; ranging from cream, through rust to nearly black is just beautiful, just the thought of spinning and then knitting this yarn, is just so exciting.
Paul also has two donkeys which have been rescued / adopted from the Donkey Sanctuary.
